Charlotte Kenny

In my final year at Laurier, I was lucky enough to have Lexi's help with editing my papers. I was under a lot of pressure to keep my spot as an honours student and Lexi helped edit most of my work, allowing me to get amazing marks. I also had one-on-ones with her where she went through my papers with me; she didn't just edit my work but showed me how to fix my mistakes and correct my grammar. This allowed me to turn in A level work!

Frequently asked questions

Editing | Payments

Will my editor tell me what needs to be cited?

We will not tell you on a sentence-level what needs to be cited; this is something that is really important for students to become sufficient in themselves. However, if we notice a pattern of missed citations, we will note this in the general areas for improvement and provide you with sources on how to address this issue.

How do I pay for my service?

Using e-transfer or another reliable online third-party payment option like PayPal.

Will my editor provide content if parts of my writing require it?

This depends on the type of service you've requested.

For students, we never add content. The information, research, connections, etc. are up to you; our job is to help you learn how to communicate those things better.

For businesses and authors, we can help you fill in any blanks in your copy or website.

What is the payment process?

Once we receive your submission, we will assess it and email you an invoice. The invoice must be paid in full before our service can begin.

How long does it take for my submission to be returned?

Return dates are up to you, within reason.

For students, there are optional fees for a faster return window.

For businesses and authors, the return window depends on the scope of the project.

How do I submit my writing?

Go to Get Started Today, and then complete the appropriate submission form based on your needs.

Are there different ways for my writing to be edited?

For students, we can review your work for grammatical errors, structural errors, or both. For more information about the diffent types of reviews we offer, see Submit your Writing.

For business and authors, we can colaborate in the planning stages of our agreement to determine the best type of editing for you.

Can I receive a refund if I'm not happy with the word you return?

Billable hours still must be paid. However, if you are dissatisfied with the returned work, please email us. We are happy to reassess the submission or delegate it to another editor for a second opinion.

Is this service worth it?

Clear and effective communication is always a sound investment, and we say investment because that's what it is. Our goal is to provide you with the skills to improve your written communication moving forward. If you're a student, this is an investment in your grades and future career, and if you're a business or author, this is an investment in your brand growth.
